Intro

This site is for anyone who has to deal with a town that stalls, makes promises, forgets their promises, then stalls some more. I’m officially fed up with West Bolton, Quebec. For years now I’ve been asking the town for information on a gravel pit that operates on the border of my property. For years now I’ve received nothing but lip service and stalling. This gravel pit was officially supposed to begin it’s restoration of the land in 2008. The town have given me no help at all in finding this information. Even though the gravel has been exhausted for about 6 years now, they have been hauling it in from elsewhere and processing it here. Today I watched a loader, working within 75 feet of my property line, move gravel 50 feet. Take a load, dump it, repeat all day. I took a video of it. I will post it. Instead of working on the other side of the pile, and digging and loading trucks, they choose to work for days on the side my house is 100 feet from, and move gravel for no apparent reason whatsoever. The town told me at a meeting last November they were hiring a lawyer to look in to the legality of all this. On being pressed at the June council meeting, the mayor, Donald Badger, said they couldn’t do it as the lawyer was the same lawyer representing the pit owner, so, a conflict of interest. Apparently there’s only one lawyer in Canada. So come on in, and if you got some beefs with the town, have at’er.
